Haru
Author: psound
General: Located street level below the Shops at Prudential Center, Haru Boston’s 6,100 sq. ft. space boasts a Japanese garden, bamboo floors and wooden footbridge. The elegant sushi bar takes pride of place in the main dining room along with custom pieces from local artists, and the sake and cocktail bar is a smart spot for after-work drinks or late night people-watching. 55 Huntington Avenue, Boston.
She Said: Haru is good, but not fantastic. This was the first Japanese restaurant that I went to in Boston. It has all your japanese needs of course, and I’m not saying it bad at all, I did enjoy it, but I think because it’s a chain, the appeal for me is gone. They did make me a good espresso martini though!
He Said: For a chain mall type restaurant this is not bad, they have a good menu selection and the food is not bad, Is not you average chain restaurant type, I would say it falls on the upper category. Deco is de accorde and prices are right. Drink menu is good and the staff is friendly. if you are shopping at the pru, and get hungry and the mood for some sushi. yeah is a good option.

She Said: Can I say… OH MY GOOOOD. (and that’s god, but it’s totally good too!). This place, Fugakyu, is amazing beyond belief. I absolutely love Japanese food and this is the place. It’s a big restaurant, so at first it doesn’t seem very authentic, but it’s so tasty. There are so many maki rolls and entrees that it makes it really hard to choose. That’s my main downfall of Fugakyu. The menu is so extensive that he and I just ordered the Boat because we couldn’t decide. But whatever you order, you won’t regret!
He Said: I been coming here for quite of while, Every time i try to order something new from their extensive menu, I have never been disappointed. This Place is huge, kind a like a maze. If you are with a big party you probably will get one of the private little rooms that resemble more authentic Japanese decor. Ok now to the food. The sushi is pretty good, they have all the traditional rolls that you expect from any sushi bar. but you don’t go to Fugakyu for the sushi, instead for the apetaizer and the well balance array of diferent meats and vegetarian dishes the offer.
