JP Licks
Author: sophiecore
General: Homemade ice cream and frozen yogurt! They do their own thing, and it’s Good! Boston operated.
She Said: I wouldn’t consider myself a big dessert fan, but the occasional fro-yo happens. I love frozen yogurt, but I think what I love more are the topping that I can put on it. I really enjoy the peanut butter fro-yo from JP Licks and then I top it off with Reeses Pieces. They have all flavors, but I feel that they lack in the topping choices!
He Said: I would love if they had more toppings, I love their ice cream and all the cow deco, She and I enjoy much finishing a good party or dinning out night here. oh sit at the tin cup in the front

Oishii
Author: sophiecore
General: New york type style Japanese restaurant. Older crowd, expensive, elegant, professional and damn good. Located: 116 Washington St, Boston, MA 02118 Phone: 617-482-8868
She Said: So sleek and pretty, amazing, highly rated, highly professional! The dishes were presented in such a beautiful manor. The setting was great too. Quiet and delicate. The service was really nice too. Our waitress was somewhat helpful, I thought, but she always asked if we needed anything. Tonight we brought my roommate to dinner. I thought it would be good to get her input on this, so hopefully she’ll write a tidbit later on her experience. (pretty much she hadn’t had much sushi before, but enjoyed the experience!!) Dishes ordered included Spicy edamame, seaweed salad, Yellowtail and Salmon sashimi, some crazy dish that I just randomly ordered and the Tuna Tartare, oh and some oyster thing.. Maybe He’ll remember. The Tuna tartare was very tasty. It had a lot of flavor for just a little bit. I didn’t enjoy the spicy edamame as much. I really just enjoyed the setting at Oishii and the displays of the elegant food. Yes, it is very expensive, but the ambience is amazing!
He said: Ok everyone that have been there tell me this is their favorite restaurant, I now agree, She just described the food very accurate, everything was totally good. This night was a sort of special for she and he, she invited her friend, and that was the experience for me, she share with us that she wasn’t to familiar with Japanese food. thru the years I always have introduce friends to all sort of foods, always get all kind of mixed reactions. same with our friend here, I can said she had never had oysters or caviar, but we insisted and she tried… yay! Place is great, I am thinking actually to throw a party there soon. my advice just go and enjoy like we did.

Le’s Vietnamese Cuisine
Author: sophiecore
General: Le’s is a basic vietnamese restaurant. Service is fast (usually). The food is decent. Large plates. Located: 137 Brighton Ave, Allston 02134
She Said: Fast, friendly, average quality. Come to dine if you’re in a hurry or very hungy! Le’s is nothing great, but it was good because I was very hungry. The Fresh Summer spring rolls with Tofu were fine. I liked it and they were basic. The peanut sauce was very good. I had curry tofu… however it wasn’t curry. I think they messed up my order. I didn’t care. I wanted tofu so badly and I really enjoyed it. All the veggies (broccoli, zucchini, squash, snowpeas, red peppers) were decently steamed. I also had the bubble Thai tea and it was different than i was expecting. I was thinking more tea.. not smoothie. This is just a lunch place. I wouldn’t come for dinner. The plates are too much, but I ate everything!
He Said: This is definitely an interesting place, and totally not a place i will just go, but since we were driving around the area and she suggested Vietnamese, I was like why not?, we got in, this place is very Allston, the dishes are big, they are tasty, and The drinks were good, I order Tsingtao Chinese beer, that was pretty awesome for a hot day, the we had the spring roles, nothing there. just lettuce, but the peanut sauce was pretty good, Then I had a chicken noodle soup, I ordered the small one but it comes in huge bowl…. this was actually pretty decent, for my main dish i had the curry beef, this was spicy and good but I was already so full from the other dishes that couldn’t finish. She gave me some of her tofu, that was pretty good, It tasted like chicken.
Any how go here if you are in the area and super hungry.
Scoozi (updated)
Author: sophiecore
General: Scoozi! The best place on earth. International, young and fun crowd. Good food, good Sangria, good friends. Located: 237 Newbury St.
She Said Update: Not much new to say about this place. I’m here all the time. I’d say almost once a week! I took my mum here as well. Unfortunately we had to sit inside, but none the less it was still fun. She even liked the Sangria and normally she doesn’t. The pizza was yummy
we had the veggie one.
He Said Update: There is always a summer song, a summer outfit, and a summer place for food an drinks, this was the place to be for the summer. One more thing I love the Tuna Putanesca panini. yeah!

City Bar - The Lenox Hotel
Author: sophiecore
General: City Bar is located in the Lenox Hotel. This is a pretty fancy place. I believe this bar is kind of for the “older” crowd, but it’s very nice. I saw a range of people there. Located: 61 Exeter St, Btwn Boylston & Blagden St.
She Said: We didn’t eat at City Bar, but there were drinks around the table. He and She took She’s mum, K around the town, for a night cap, the stop was City Bar. I had the Guava Martini, which He recommended. Not a bad choice. I thought the flavor was tasty. However, K didn’t enjoy her dry martini as much. I didn’t ask her why, which I should have, but all I know is that my mum knows her martini’s and if this wasn’t the cut, well then don’t order the dry martini here! The next night, we did a night cap again at City Bar. I had the Ruby which is a champagne cocktail. I thought it was so good! I’d order it again and AGAIN. They just used Pom juice…. so there is nothing special, but I enjoyed it. K thought it tasted like cough medicine! As for Service… it was accommodating. K is hard of hearing and City Bar is quiet enough for anyone.
He Said: I like this bar, is good is well decorated and “confi”, every time I come here is almost a rule to get guava martini’s they are so good, I am glad she like it. It is a good place to end up the night. quiet and close to all the other croweded bars, specially after 12. Beware thoug they are very strict about wearing hats, so all those sports fans out there trying to wear your team colors on the head, this is not the spot. I’ll kepp you posted as my next try will be the expresso martinis. cheers!!!
Tapeo
Author: sophiecore
On the busy street of Newbury, you’ll find this awesome tapas restaurant. Tapeo is for people who like adventure and aren’t scared to try something new! Always a large crowd, always a bit of a wait, and expensive, but well worth it. Located: 266 Newbury St.
She Said: Tapeo: Loud, Spanish, Fun, Tapas and Long Waits are some of the words to describe this great place. None the less, it’s a favorite. Tapeo is on the busy street of Newbury, so you’ll always have a wait, no matter what, but it is absolutally worth it. The atmosphere is very nice, the service is great and the food is outstanding! The dishes ordered included Mejillones con Aguacate (mussels with avocado) - very nice salsa. There was a lot of flavor. Pimientos Asados (roasted red peppers) - nothing about it.. no flavor. Gorditas (prunes stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon) - SO GOOD! these prunes had so much flavor and taste to them. He ate the bacon. Scallops and swordfish skewers, which were just okay…. and for the BEST dish: Tuna STuffed octopus in its own black ink! AMAZING. yeah it sounds gross.. but it is the best thing in the world. I don’t care who you are.. you have to try it.
He siad: Ok tapas are some of my favorite food, I kind of grow up with them, my mom use to make us these treats all the time. Although the selection at tapeo is more of an americanize version you still find on the menu interesting stuff like “Tuna Stuffed octopus in its own black ink” this was great just like she said’s. The service is always nice, I always find some one who speaks spanish so i just feel like at home. In last nights case we had Alberto he is from Columbia and he was pretty cool, he bought us a round of Sangria and a Flan, we usally don’t eat dessert, but I am glad we did it was really good… Thanks Alberto.
So I encourage you to go and try it is a fun place and I am sure with whom ever you go with they will enjoy it as much as She and I did.

Fenway park
Author: psound
General: Home of the Boston Red Sox and one of the two oldest base balls parks in America, Located at Boston Red Sox, 4 Yawkey Way, Boston MA 02215-3496
She Said: umm really I have no idea what to say… It’s the baseball field, so you’ll find the baseball essentials: Franks, Dogs, PopCorn, Beer, Ice Cream… etc…. However I did run into a stand that served “healthy’ option: yogurt, carrots and dip. Myself, sneak in what little nibbles I can in my pockets. As for restaurants surrounding the area… There are many, but I can’t tell you about them because I haven’t eaten there and they don’t appeal to me!
He Said: Fenway franks, Fenway franks, they are raw simple hot dogs but for us base ball lovers and sox fans this food and crappy but expensive beer is as close as you get to live the Boston passion for their sports teams. I love this place and I think the whole old vibe of fenway is enough for me to keep coming back for as many games I can. One tip though, If you get a chance to go to a day game during the week, totally do it. is the best experience. Go Sox!!!!

28 Degrees
Author: sophiecore
General: This Tapas restaurant is also a martini bar. Located in the South End, 28 Degrees is a trendy, hip, and fun place to have drinks and dine at any time of the week. The weekend, of course, is backed and loud so make sure you have a reservation. Located: 1 Appleton St (at the corner of Tremont St).
She Said: I have to say, I’m a little disappointed that I don’t find more “bad” places in Boston to eat at… so far everything is fairly great and 28 Degrees is no exception. I’d come here again in a heart beat. First of all, the service was fantastic. Vince, our waiter, was great and very nice. I’m sure you’re more interested in the food and wine though…. Food — KILLER! These oyster were better than I’ve had in a while. (Between 5pm and 7pm, you can get oysters for a dollar). My Yellowfin Tuna Tartare was so good too. I had to have tuna tartare that was my input for the night. I know I’m more of a vegetarian, but I took a small break and had seafood this weekend. Next we had these mini Maine crab tacos with Mango. I did not enjoy this as much as the other dishes. The seared scallops were also a hit around the table. The last dish was the Spicy Grilled Shrimp… I did not try this dish though, so He could tell you more. For drinks we had a bottle of Dog Point. If you don’t know this wonderful white wine, SHAME ON YOU! It is fantastic and went very well with dinner. We also had 2 dessert drinks to share and try. The Espresso Martini was very good (if you like these types of martinis). The Raspberry Truffle Martini not so good. It was too sweet for my liking. Too “desserty” My Favorite part of the restaurant is the BATHROOM. the ceiling is awesome (water) and it was just fun and cool. So make sure you check that out!
He Said: 28 degrees, I am kind of trying to figure out why the name. is 28 degrees Celsius / Fahrenheit??????? or just a random angle on right triangle….. I don’t know? but what i know the food i had here was pretty good! Yeah the setting was nice laungue trendy, almost NYC. which i think is a good thing
So we went to try a new place and also because I wanted to celebrate she coming back and she’s mom being in town. any way long story short I loved the oysters…… wow so good. if you go there and don’t have them, It’s a Pink Panther pop. shame of you for not liking oysters. you can review our menu here or in an others sites. but i had a great time here. I also will have an expresso tinny for dessert and once is time to break the seal go to the bath room, is a pretty place. I am sure she and he will have more stories from this place…. will keep you posted.
