General: South End tapas restaurant filled with a dark, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Exposed brick surrounds this restaurant, and you’re greeted by a huge Toro head mounted on the wall. The menu is filled with traditional and warm welcoming dishes. Located at 1704 Washington Street, Boston. www.toro-restaurant.com

She Said: Every since I was aware of Toro, I knew that I wanted to try it out. We all know how I love going to Tapeo on Newbury Street! So with that said, we head to Toro on a Wednesday night, to be greeted by a crowd of diners. We ended up sitting at the bar and order a few different tapas and pinchos to share. I started with the Atun (tuna tartare) pincho. It came out with some foamy stuff on top and I was skeptical. But I dug in and it was just coconut milk and lime! Very tasty. I also had the marinated wood roasted eggplant which I put on the bread and it was awesome. I really want to try the Catalan stew of sea urchin, lobster and crab meat! The Sangria is awesome here too!

He Said: Two words, Jamon Serrano. I can just write a review about the pleasures of this thin aged tasty meat, but wouldn’t be fair to Toro since it does have a bunch of good dishes. We had some Bacalao (cod fish) croquettes this were pretty amazing. Then we had some beet salad with some sort raspberry dressing and radishes, it was phenomenal. To top that the have “elote con queso cotija”, this is just delicious. It’s just corn with cheese and tons of butter. We are probably going to have you guys an update on this place soon. There were so many other dishes she and he wanted to try. while we were finishing our sangria we munched some marcona almonds. Go to this place is nice and has appeal it has my total approval.
