General: Eastern Standard in Kenmore Square is a hot spot from breakfast to dinner to late night drinks. Mentioned as “Swanky” when asked to describe, isn’t far from the truth. ES is pretty posh and trendy and expensive. With good drinks, comes good food, especially the seafood (as I’m told). 528 Commonwealth Ave, Kenmore Square. www.easternstandardboston.com

Sophiecore: I’ve been wanting to come here for awhile — as soon as I found out their oysters were awesome. Then I finally jumped on board to go. However, I went for drinks, not dinner. When I walked in, I was taken aback because it was super crowded, but excited as it was just as I thought it would be – trendy and loud, hot hot hot. Although I cannot comment on the food, I hope to come again to do so. As for the drinks, service and atmosphere – all high high high! Totally recommend going here if you have cash to spend. If not, maybe come for a special date.
