Via Matta
General: Regarded as authentic Italian, Via Matta is a nice touch to a night at the theatre. Near Whiskey Park, tucked behind hotels, Via Matta should be a place to catch up on your Italian. Located at 79 Park Plaza Boston, MA 02116 – (617) 422-0008. www.viamattarestaurant.com
She Said: After KATHY GRIFFIN, a bite was in need. Off to Via Matta it was as it was pretty close. Sea food — who could have guessed! — was the app. It was very enjoyable. The oyster already had junk on them…flavor I do mean. It was nice to have an already set flavor instead of mixing my own taste of condiments. I then decided to have the crunchy eggplant. I thought it was grilled eggplant (which I would have preferred), but pleasantly surprised when it was eggplant with a baked coating. It was okay. The eggplant coating maybe a little dry for me, but the other flavors, tomato, onion, cheese, were great! My drink of choice was the Sangria and a good choice I made.
He Said: Salmon delicious. Oysters Amazing. Basil martini Good. Margarita Really good. Mango Cocoanut Jalapeño desert wicked wicked wicked GOOD! I really like this restaurant. I been hearing about it for a while as a couple friends love it whom I respect their opinion so much given they are foodies just like me. So while my face was hurting after 2 hours of laughing of very good comedy, she and he were Via Matta bound. I just want to say, don’t think this twice and I will quote what she said to me “you will have a party in your mouth”.
