Beat the Holiday Stress
….before it even comes! As the holiday’s approach, one can find themselves in stressful times. Follow these few steps and you may find yourself in a “zen” mode.
Follow these steps and hopefully you too can beat out the tough holiday stress and situations that you may face.
1) Drink Tea – The University College in London study showed those who drank black tea showed a drop in their cortisol levels, compared to those who did not.
2) Acupressure – massages and acupressure, as we know, make us feel good, and always take the stress away.
3) Go on, have a chocolate treat – dark chocolate, or cocoa has more stress busting compounds than milk chocolate.
4) Laugh yourself silly – check out youtube during the day. laughing decreases levels of the stress hormones.
4) Fatty acids – people who hate omega 3 fatty acids are usually happier, and less impulsive.
Pair these tips with yoga and you’re on your way to a stress free holiday season!
