General: Because I’ve been spending a lot of time in Chicago lately, I figured that I could also review some Chicago places. Why not right? Market Bar likes to think of themselves as a sports-y bar/restaurant. Apparently you can watch games on their rooftop. Located at 1113. West Randolph St. West Loop. 312.929.4787

She Said: I decided to venture out into the west loop of chicago for brunch. I didn’t have a clue what to expect. First I stopped at Ina’s which I did hear was extremely good, but they only serve breakfast on Sundays, so I had to pass up the offer. Instead I went to the next place I saw – Market. The decor was minimal, but I loved the x-ray of bones that covered the hallway to the restrooms. Market says they are more of a sports type bar, but it doesn’t feel that way. The food there is also pretty bar like type. So let’s start — It was Sunday, so naturally I had a bloody mary. The waiter came out with just the vodka and mix, but there were no condiments. Really?! That’s the fun part. Well, Market makes it fun. They bring you your drink, but then you get to get up and put all the condiments you want! Pickles, celery, asparagus, tomatoes, and even bacon. They also have the spices so you can add as you like. So making bloodies was really fun and different. For food, I shared the nachos and Billy Goat’s Curse salad (with Shrimp). I enjoyed the salad as I always do. I think the shrimp gave it a good impact. The nachos were so-so. To be honest, the menu didn’t do anything for me. Nothing really “wow-ed” me. If I were to go again, I’d opt for the Tuna Tartare, or Yoga Master Pizza.
