She Said: After many many months of zero reviews, I am delighted to share my experience of Granary Tavern! I always visit this place on my visits to Boston and it NEVER disappoints! Both the food and drink menus are delicious. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and typically throw me a crafted, special drink!

During my last visit, we sat outside on the patio – It was beautiful, but hot out. I ordered a refreshing Sangria along with 2 flatbreads and tacos. We did a three cheese mushroom flatbread and a shrimp flatbread. Crispy and light. Made with delicious cheeses. Here are the facts:
THREE CHEESE MUSHROOM
soubise, herb roasted mushrooms, fontina, asiago, ricotta
SHRIMP
scampi shrimp, roasted garlic cream sauce, shaved parmesan, arugula

We also tried the swordfish tacos. They were decent. A little on the drier side.
SWORDFISH TACOS
pineapple poblano salsa, shredded napa cabbage, avocado crema

Next time I’d definitely try the chicken and waffles off their brunch menu!

Pro Tip: The bartenders are awesome. If you are not sure what you’d like to drink, let them make a drink for you! Always awesome!

He Said: I had the Swordfish tacos, what i remember were awesome although we should ask my dog Lou about since he end eating the whole taco :). Drinks are on point here, I agree with she let the bar tenders give you the royal treatment and make you drunk or happy.

Eastern Standard

General: Eastern Standard in Kenmore Square is a hot spot from breakfast to dinner to late night drinks. Mentioned as “Swanky” when asked to describe, isn’t far from the truth. ES is pretty posh and trendy and expensive. With good drinks, comes good food, especially the seafood (as I’m told). 528 Commonwealth Ave, Kenmore Square. www.easternstandardboston.com
